P2 Photography is a commercial photography company founded by San Diego Corporate Photographers Jon Held and Jenna Close. We are corporate and industrial photographers who take a particular interest in alternative energy. We specialize in the promotion of environmental sustainability, renewable resources and all issues surrounding the energy needs of the future. We are not afraid of heights, depths, audiences or getting dirty. We can ride horses, snowmobiles, bicycles and waves. We are at your service with knowledge and style as well as our own hard hats.
P2 Photography is a proud member of the American Society of Media Photographers.
Jenna Close spent the first 20 years of her life as an actress. She has performed everywhere from Off-Broadway at LaMama, E.T.C to the Rhodope Mountain Theater in Smoljan, Bulgaria. She was an original cast member of Trepidation Nation and The Second Death of Priscilla, both at the internationally renowned Humana Festival of New American Plays. Jenna played Mrs. Zero in the IRNE award winning Boston production of The Adding Machine and performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with Theater of a Thousand Juliets. Trading her costumes for a camera at age 25, she studied photography at the Art Institute of Seattle. She was a selected participant in Project: Photoshop Lightroom with photojournalist Colin Finlay and Adobe Senior Evangelist Julieanne Kost.
Jon Held's first career was as a professional juggler with Airjazz. The trio won the National Team Juggling Championships in 1982 and went on to perform on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, The Smothers Brothers and The Paul Daniels Show as well as at numerous arts and dance festivals all over the world. During this time Jon took photography to heart, eventually shooting for clients and friends in the arts scene before co-founding P2 Photography in 2006.
